A Method of MCT Determination for Civil Aircraft Based on Scenario Analysis

This paper proposes a method of maximum continuous thrust (MCT) determination for civil aircraft based on scenario analysis. This paper takes the plain routes in China as the target market of the aircraft, and through the comprehensive analysis of the route elements of the aircraft operation, the target route is selected as: Urumqi-Shanghai Hongqiao. The operating conditions and flight procedures affected by MCT are captured from the real operation scenarios of this route, and then the value of MCT required by the actual route is deduced. The MCT determination method proposed in this paper is based on real routes, capturing the route demand from scenarios, and then proposing a suggested value for MCT through forward analysis, which is more reasonable and closer to the real operation of the aircraft.
