Seismic Behavior of Irregular Building Under Vertical Earthquake Excitation
摘要
In the current study, the seismic response of irregular buildings to vertical earthquakes is looked at. Buildings with a G+9 storey reinforced concrete frame are considered in the study. To understand how a structure reacts when subjected to vertical earthquake excitation, a variety of anomalies are taken into consideration. Diaphragm discontinuity, non-parallel system, vertical geometry irregularity, and mass irregularity are among the irregularities that are taken into account. When studying the irregular models in question, stiffness modifiers and the vertical earthquake component are taken into account. To assess the performance of irregular buildings, various reaction amounts are compared with the regular construction. To compare the performance of the buildings, a full analytical study of both buildings with and without stiffness modifiers was carried out. Storey displacement, storey rigidity, storey drift and construction era of the structure are taken into account. The results of the irregular structure show that there is higher displacement and storey drift when compared with a regular construction. The results of the irregular structure also show that time and storey stiffness are higher than in a regular construction.
