Smart Fields, Smart Yields: Technologies Driving Precision Agriculture Revolution a Survey

摘要

Nowadays, there is explosive growth in the Internet and different types of devices are attached to the Internet with the help of IoT paradigm. IoT can be utilized in every field, where there is a possibility of good communication. IoT can be used in several fields like healthcare, precision agriculture, disaster management, smart city and smart grid. One of the aspects of UAV, IoT and machine learning is precision agriculture. Precision agriculture means to use the different resources used in agriculture precisely, i.e. with accuracy. The resources of agriculture can be water, fertilizers, pesticides, etc. Agriculture is based on different parameters like soil humidity, PH value and soil moisture. IoT can be utilized to implement precision agriculture. With the help of IoT, we can measure different parameters of soils, and according to these parameters, the resources can be used. Smart farming can be the basis of precision agriculture. This paper surveys different schemes used in precision agriculture. This paper surveys schemes based on UAV, IoT and machine learning used in precision agriculture.
