Ontology in Text Mining and Matching
摘要
Ontology matching has indeed gained popularity and has been extensively studied in the past few decades. It is considered an effective technique for addressing the challenge of semantic heterogeneity in various domains, including biomedical applications. Ontology matching involves establishing semantic correspondences between ontologies that belong to the same domain but have been independently created. By identifying and aligning the common concepts and relationships between these ontologies, ontology matching contributes to resolving heterogeneity at the conceptual level. This process is crucial for achieving data integration and building a unified view of the information.
