A Novel Sinusoidal-Like Modulation Method for Shared Module Soft Open Point

This paper proposes a new sinusoidal-like modulation method to prevent over-modulation of traditional sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM). The sinusoidal-like modulation superpose a square-wave platform on the sinusoidal modulated wave. Sinusoidal modulated wave is adopted to prevent over-modulation at zero-crossing time and square wave is superposed on the peak of sinusoidal wave to reduce the switching loss of the shared module. The feasibility of the topology, control strategy and the sinusoidal-like modulation method are verified by experiments.
