A Strategy for Improving Dead-Time Performance of Induction Motor Based on SiC MOSFET

摘要

Silicon carbide (SiC) power devices have the advantage of blocking higher voltage, working at higher temperatures, and having lower conduction resistance. Using SiC metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors (SiC MOSFETs) in induction motors can effectively improve control performance and achieve high-precision control effects. As an indispensable part of the bridge inverter, the dead-time will cause problems such as current fluctuations and output torque pulsation in motor control. This paper proposes an improved dead-time adaptive compensation strategy for coordinate transformation. Compared with traditional compensation methods, this method is simple and efficient. Finally, the effectiveness of this method is verified through simulation.
