Nanobiomaterials in the Management of Wound Healing

A more profound understanding of the pathogenesis of acute or chronic wounds has recently been made possible by unprecedented developments in molecular science, leading to the discovery of imaginative bio-molecular targets and the development of advanced health care. In addition to its multi-functional approaches, the nanobiomaterials implanted technique demonstrated several benefits beyond traditional ways in a broad-spectrum operation for wound management. The healthcare challenges introduced by wound contagion have become incredible and exert a substantial influence on patient health and mortality along with the expenses of therapy. The intricate nature of typical wound-therapeutic procedures, cell sensitivity, and plenty of governing components, especially the molecular mechanism of persistent wounds, can all be targeted by nano-tech-based detection and therapies, which have endorsed exciting opportunities in wound management. Biomaterials using a nano-delivery platform is an emergent approach due to its ability to speed up and multi-functionality for comprehensive implementation in the field of distinctive wound management. The principles of fundamental mechanisms underlying the healing stages of wounds with potential wound treatment strategies have been highlighted in this chapter, with particular attention paid to various types of nanobiomaterials employed in cutaneous wound repair.
