Preconception Management of Women with Epilepsy

Due to the effects of epilepsy and antiseizure medications, fertility and pregnancy planning are affected in women with epilepsy. Women with epilepsy demonstrated a lower rate of fertility and higher rate of unplanned pregnancy than healthy women. This chapter discusses the fertility, contraception choice, and related dysfunctions in women with epilepsy.
