A Terahertz Single-Pole Double-Throw Switch Based on Slotline and Substrate Integrated Waveguide

摘要

In this paper, a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switch based on a slotline and substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) is proposed. The transmission line can be switched between the SIW and the Slotline by turning on and off the Schottky diode. Because the two transmission lines have different frequency cutoff characteristics, signals between them serve as switches. Simulation results show that the return loss of the SPDT switch between 215 GHz and 230 GHz is 11.6 dB, the insertion loss of the on-branch is 2.7 dB, and the insertion loss of the off-branch is better than 25 dB. The SPDT switch proposed in this paper has the advantages of simple structure and balanced performance, and is expected to be applied in the G-band.
