Terahertz High-Order Amplitude Modulator Based on Schottky Diodes
摘要
In this paper, we proposed a terahertz high-order amplitude modulator by fan-shaped branch and meta-unit composed of microstructure and GaAs Schottky diodes. The diodes are controlled by the bias voltage to change resonance characteristic of the meta-unit to realize the high-order amplitude modulation of THz (terahertz) waves. At the same time, by adjusting the fan-shaped branch to optimize the linear operating region of the modulator to prevent amplitude distortion. The simulation results indicate that the modulator can achieve high-order amplitude modulation in 130–140 GHz.
