Design of Dual-Band Airborne Passive Millimeter Wave Radiation Measurement System and Scanning Mode

With the importance of passive millimeter wave (PMMW) radiation technology in the field of remote sensing and target detection, there are foreseeable developments in both military and civilian fields. In this paper, a new dual-band (W/D) PMMW radiation measurement system with low cost, low weight and high integration is introduced. The main components and functional design of this new system were mainly discussed, such as antenna feeder system, dual-band receiving structure, calibration structure and control software. Due to its small size and light weight, this new PMMW radiometer can be used on board. We propose four airborne scanning modes based on the working status of this system, each of which is fixed point state. We have analyzed and simulated these four modes, and each mode can cover the entire scanning area, which provides a theoretical basis for the future technical research of this system.
