Processing Algorithm for Realizing Fast Image Repair in Terahertz Imaging System

Terahertz radiation has been successfully utilized as a secure and efficient method of non-destructive sensing. However, there are some common problems in imaging system, such as dead pixel problem in detector, data loss during processing, and low image resolution in the analysis of collected original data. In order to solve these problems and improve the image quality, in this paper, we propose a fast moving image repair algorithm based on Eikonal quation. The proposed repair algorithm can fill in the missing image information automatically, and improve the image clarity. Further, brightness and contrast are also both enhanced to improve image quality. The processing algorithm of nonlinear mapping transformation is added to improve data visualization expression. The results show that, by applying propose algorithm, the image quality can be improved and the target is more prominent in imaging result.
