Summary, Conclusions and Future Works
摘要
The objective of this study is to investigate the degradation and failure mechanism of carbon fiber-reinforced composite, especially the carbon fiber/epoxy matrix interface under environmental exposures using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. A series of computational simulations are conducted in this study. The microscopic details of the constituents and the bonded interface under environmental effects are explored, and the correlations with the macroscopic performance loss of the bulk composite materials are discussed.
