Supply Chain Event Alert Push Notification for E-Commerce Business Managers

A software application is developed for delivery of notifications on a mobile device to provide alerts for events in an e-commerce supply chain. Real-time view of packing and dispatch operations in warehouse is provided to senior management. The transaction data are tracked using Internet of Things (IOT) device, and the data are stored on online transactional processing (OLTP) database. This data are then analyzed by a business intelligence (BI) server to find any anomalies. The BI server will generate an alert that is pushed as notification on business manager’s mobile device. This study aims to give real time event insights to warehouse managers at different levels in each department of warehouse, so that corrective actions can be taken.
