摘要

This paper presents experimental results of incremental sheet forming of 5052 aluminum alloy. The initial sheets, with 1.0 mm in thickness, were cut into square edge has size of 120 mm × 120 mm. During the experimental processes, the aluminum alloy sample plate was mounted on the die which was clamped on the chuck of the lathe. The 3-component dynamometer was used to measure forming force components. The experiment was designed using Taguchi method with two parameters including step size Δz in z direction (1.0–1.5–2.0, in mm) and spindle speed n (70–130−225, in rpm). The results showed that the forming force component Fz increases as increasing of Δz and decreases as increasing of n. The results also showed that influence of spindle speed n on the Fz maximum value is larger than that of step size Δz.
