Comparative Analysis of Linux and Its Impact on Peruvian Education
摘要
In Peruvian education, limited investment has led to challenges in procuring devices like laptops, tablets, and projectors, emphasizing the need for cost-effective learning materials. Despite these constraints, the predominant choice of operating system remains Microsoft Windows, as per national standards. This research compares the Linux and Windows operating systems, evaluating factors like time, cost, efficiency, and accessibility. Using Oracle VM VirtualBox as a testing environment for Linux, we aim to highlight the Linux system's merits, assessing its measurable and intangible benefits for education. Through statistical analysis, we gauged the performance of both systems. Our findings reveal that the Manjaro Linux distribution offers noteworthy advantages over Windows, underscoring its potential for adoption in Peruvian educational settings.
