The present investigation has to determine to what extent green roofs as thermal insulation influence the comfort of users in a university institution case Annex 7 of the UNFV, Lima-Peru 2022, since it presents an urban growth and therefore the increase in carbon dioxide as well as the decrease in green areas. A case study approach was adopted; where the characteristics of the place, climatic factors, among other components of the area, were identified, which were fundamental to be taken into account in the execution of the design of the proposal. The information collected for the investigation was carried out through a previous review of the literature, the elaboration of surveys, the use of digital tools: (Arcgis, Google earth, Autocad, Revit and Lumion) for the delimitation of the area and in the design of a thematic map and 3d proposal of the vegetal cover (green roof). As a result, Green Roofs are proposed to insulate the temperature and improve the quality of life of the users of the UNFV university institution, it should be noted that this proposal can improve the comfort of other university institutions.
