The Educational Exchange and Cooperation Between China and Asia

This chapter explores the educational exchange and cooperation between China and other countries in Asia. Based on the current and historical versions, this chapter describes the historical change in educational exchange and cooperation policy between China and other Asian countries, the existing policy content, and the present policy defects and solutions. It is concluded that there is a relatively large difference between the current policy and the previous policy—emphasis more on introducing the policy. The current policy defects are relatively weak in opening to the world, and low education governance level. Bearing this in mind, it is proposed to attach equal importance to “introducing” and “coming out”, strengthen the education quality of overseas students, and improve the corresponding governance level.
