The Macro-Landscape of Internationalization of Graduate Education in China’s Universities and Colleges
摘要
This chapter investigates the macro-landscape of the graduate education internationalization in China's local universities from a policy narrative perspective. A historical review of graduate education, new progress in internationalization of graduate education, and internationalization of graduate education as an important driving force in China has been explored in this chapter. There are some challenges in the Chinese graduate education internationalization process, including the unclear goal of international talent cultivation, an imperfect international cultivation model, an unsolid foundation of international development, and insufficient support for international development. Along with those problems, China needs to make a clear orientation of international cultivation, improve the international cultivation model, strengthen the foundation for international development, and advocate policy and financial support for internationalization.
