The Educational Exchange and Cooperation Between China and African Countries: Challenges and Suggestions
摘要
This chapter comprehensively discusses the dynamics, experience, challenges, and future development direction of educational exchanges and cooperation between China and African countries. Through literature analysis and the integration of scholars’ views, this chapter reveals the evolution of educational exchange and cooperation from one-way aid to two-way interaction, scilicet the transformation of China's educational aid concept, that is, from the traditional “giving people fish” to “teaching people how to fish”, and further to the pursuit of “win–win cooperation” model. The chapter also summarizes China's important experience in building a policy framework for education cooperation with African countries, such as ensuring policy coherence and gradualism, aligning the interests of all parties, and integrating them with the national strategic layout.
