Sino-US Educational Exchange and Cooperation Policy

This chapter explores Sino-US educational exchange and cooperation policy. In 2020, eight administrative departments in China including the Ministry of Education jointly issued opinions on accelerating and expanding the education opening up to the outside world in the new era and put forward the key deployment of “supporting China's plan to make new advances of education opening up to the outside world and contributing to global education governance”. Education cooperation builds a bridge for the Chinese and American people to know each other. From exchanging students to cooperating in running schools, from academic exchanges to scientific research cooperation, China and the United States have established an all-round, multi-level, and wide-ranging pattern of educational exchanges and cooperation, which has enhanced the understanding and friendship between the two peoples.
