DNN Approach to Obtain BER Versus SNR for Spatial Modulation System

Index modulation Index modulation (IM) techniques have garnered significant attention in research due to their ability to provide energy-efficient and low-complexity solutions for upcoming wireless networks. Among these techniques, Spatial ModulationSpatial Modulation (SM) stands out as a method that achieves a favorable balance between energy and spectrum efficiency. SM employs transmit antenna indices to convey information effectively. This chapter presents a method to calculate the closed-form expression ofBit Error Rate Bit Error Rate (BER) in Multiple Antenna-Spatial ModulationMultiple Antenna Spatial modulation. It also demonstrates the BER versus Signal-to-Noise RatioSignal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) trend for a given signal and spatial constellation, utilizing regression models based on deep neural networksDeep neural network. Extensive experiments were conducted using QPSK, 8-QAM, and 16-QAM signal constellationsSignal constellations, along with spatial constellationsSpatial constellations having up to 64 transmit antennas. The trends were evaluated using datasets generated for LMMSE and Zero-Forcing detection Zero Forcing detection cases, with Monte Carlo simulationsMonte Carlo simulations confirming the accuracy of the results.
