摘要

Wave energy converter (WEC) has gained significant attention in recent years due to its potential to provide clean and sustainable energy. A vital component of WECs is the power take-off (PTO) system as it transforms the mechanical energy captured by the device into electrical energy. Hence, fine-tuning the PTO configurations is a critical step toward enhancing the performance of point absorber WECs. Various optimization algorithms and techniques have been employed to find optimal PTO settings that balance power output, device stress, and energy losses. Factors such as wave characteristics, device design parameters, and control strategies have been considered in the optimization process. However, there are still several areas that require further investigation. Future research should focus on incorporating uncertainties and variabilities, developing dynamic and adaptive control strategies, and considering economic factors. To this end, this paper presents the dynamic model of the PTO systems and also the capability of optimization algorithms for adjusting the PTO parameters. In addition, this paper provides an overview of the current state of research on the robust optimization of PTO parameters for point absorber devices.
