Novel Authentication Scheme to Increase Security of Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks

VANET is a sort of network which allows the interaction between vehicles and roadside units. In this, the spiteful nodes can access the network and launch many active and passive assaults. These nodes emphasis inserting the initial form of assault known as DoS. This paper attempts to design a revolutionary two-stage technique which is successful in detecting and isolating the assault. Primarily, a study is done on the dubious nodes that have hostile conduct. Subsequently, the promiscuous mode is executed to validate the nodes as genuine nodes. Network Simulator 2 is utilized for quantifying the proposed technique and diverse measures are applied for analyzing the outcomes.
