A Comprehensive Analysis of NOMA in 5G Futuristic Mobile Communications

Recently, there has been a lot of interest in non-orthogonal multiple access because it can improve the spectral efficiency of wireless communications systems. Deploying NOMA in a heterogeneous network may help users meet their increasing data traffic requirements, and it is anticipated that NOMA will play a significant role in the next generation of mobile communication networks. But resource distribution in heterogeneous networks has major technological challenges because of reciprocal cross-tier interference. This article discusses non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), a possible technique that can assist with some of these 5G difficulties. NOMA can accommodate significantly more users than conventional orthogonal multiple access systems because it uses non-orthogonal resource allocation. We first describe the basic principles, key features, benefits and drawbacks of these approaches. Then, we provide a detailed analysis of these methods from the perspectives of receiver complexity, system efficiency, spectrum productivity and other variables.
