摘要

The chapter explores how the mind–body connections are central to ancient Indian philosophy and relevant to Social Group Work in India. It is important to be content at both the physical and emotional levels. The most famous sacred Indian text, the Bhagavad Gita, includes teaching Yoga’sYoga effective forms and how they contribute to an individual’s physical, mental, and spiritual health. Through Raja Yoga, a person discovers how their mind and body are connected and how the mind is an instrument for introspection. As presented in the Bhagavad Gita, Raja Yoga underscores the positive aspects of human behavior and interactions with their environment.
