Gestalt Therapy and Social Group Work
摘要
This chapter is about the integration of Gestalt Therapy into social group work, highlighting its applicability within the Indian cultural context. The chapter outlines the core concepts of Gestalt Therapy, such as awareness, present-focus, and holistic perception, and demonstrates how these principles can be operationalized in group settings. By combining Gestalt Therapy with Indian practices like Raja Yoga, the chapter offers a culturally resonant approach that enhances self-awareness and emotional healing among group members. This fusion of therapeutic models from the Global North with traditional ones from Indian practices provides a dynamic framework for effective social work interventions.
