This chapter delves into the propagative nature of transnational satellite TV (TSTV) channels, revealing their deep-seated connection with financial and political interests. It illuminates how TSTV coverage of the Palestinian split is carefully curated to align with specific agendas, showcasing the deliberate selection of news stories to serve political directives. Using the “Bargaining Power” model, the chapter explores the intersection of political powers’ sought-after “values” in TSTV journalism with channels’ needs to align with political directives. It analyzes the convergence of “news value” and “financial needs,” showcasing the strategic alignment of TSTV channels with political agendas to influence the dynamics of the Palestinian split.
