Terahertz Narrowband Metasurface Filter Based on Electromagnetically Induced Transparency
摘要
A terahertz narrowband metasurface filter based on electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) effect is proposed in this paper. The unit cell of the proposed terahertz metasurface filter consists of two split ring resonators (SRRs) and two cut-wires (CWs). A transparent window with narrowband at 1.22 THz can obtained and the maximum transmission amplitude is 0.92. The narrow passband with high transmission amplitude is created by the destructive interference between two SRRs and two CWs. Two SRR and two CWs can be viewed as two different bright modes of EIT effect. In addition, the magnetic field distributions and surface current distributions at 1.22 THz can also certify the high transmission amplitude. Moreover, a comparison of different terahertz metasurface filters is shown in this work. The comparison shows that our terahertz metasurface shows high transmission amplitude in the terahertz band. Therefore, our proposed terahertz metasurface filter exhibits excellent performance and shows great application prospect in 6G communication.
