摘要

As terahertz (THz) biological research continues to accelerate, the role of THz technology as a potential therapeutic tool in the biomedical field is gradually expanding. Recent studies have confirmed that the absorption peaks of many key substances in biological activities, such as neurotransmitters and nucleic acids, are located in the THz frequency range, making it a suitable technology to achieve conformational changes and functional adjustments. In this study, the effects of THz wave irradiation on the gene level of mice were investigated by RNA-Seq, irradiating the cerebral cortex of mice at 34.5 THz based on quantum cascade laser (QCL). The differential gene enrichment was obtained after GO and KEGG analysis, and a total of 189 differential genes were obtained by screening conditions. The results showed that after 34.5 THz irradiation, the mouse cerebral cortex showed differential gene expression, 170 genes were up-regulated and 19 genes were down-regulated, involving multiple signaling pathways such as TNF, which has potential applications in the treatment of brain function and brain diseases.
