摘要

The development and application of terahertz (THz) in biophysics has opened up new possibilities for studying neurons and circuits in vivo and in vitro. During THz wave transmission, heat is generated at the tip of the fiber due to the continuous supply of light sources, and it is an open question whether this affects neurons and circuits. In order to better exclude the interference generated during this process, we observed the temperature change over time at a distance of 200 μm between the tip of the optical fiber and the temperature probe. The temperature at the tip of the fiber tends to increase, with a maximum temperature of 0.59 ℃, less than 1 ℃ higher than the initial temperature. Therefore, the THz wave has little effect on the temperature, and the effect of temperature on neurons and circuits can be ruled out, providing a basis for further related experiments.
