Advances of Terahertz-Infrared Waves for Bio-information and Bio-effects in Neuroscience

Terahertz-infrared (THz-IR) waves are ranged between microwave and mid-infrared regions in the electromagnetic spectrum. THz-IR technology has demonstrated significant potential for biomedical applications, particularly in neuroscience. This review will primarily compile relevant research on THz-IR information transmission in the nervous system and the corresponding biological effects at specific frequencies. Finally, we will discuss how this technology can be utilized to non-invasively intervene in brain signals to benefit humanity.
