摘要

Terahertz (THz) technology has been widely used in biomedical applications because of its unique characteristics, with significant promise in the field of ophthalmology. In this research, the Infrared-terahertz technique was used to characterize the human anterior lens capsule, the epiretinal membrane, and rat retinal tissues to obtain a characteristic correlation between terahertz absorption spectra and the structure and protein composition of intraocular tissues. In this experiment, we used infrared confocal microimaging method with wavelengths in the range of 5–11 µm for different scanning ranges. The results of this research indicate that the Infrared-terahertz method can realize the imaging of intraocular aqueous tissue. Also, the Infrared-terahertz imaging results show the same sulcus-like structure in both the human anterior lens capsule and the human pathologic epiretinal membrane the imaging features of the membranous structure of the rat retina differ significantly from those of the transparent capsule in infrared-terahertz imaging. It is concluded that Terahertz infrared imaging of different pathophysiological states can obtain images with different structural features, which is worth further study.
