Course, Pedagogy, and Key Issues in Creative Writing Studies: An Interview with Stephanie Vanderslice

Stephanie Vanderslice, professor of Creative Writing at the University of Central Arkansas, also directs the Arkansas Writers MFA Workshop. Vanderslice obtained an undergraduate degree from Connecticut College, an MFA in fiction writing from George Mason University, and a Ph.D. in English with a creative dissertation from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. She is also the Southern Regional Chair for the Association of Writers and Writing Programmes (AWP) Board of Directors. She is one of the earliest representatives of creative writing research in the English-speaking world. Liu Weidong, a Contract Research Fellow at the China Creative Writing Center of Shanghai University and Lecturer at the Creative Writing Research Center of Wenzhou University, conducted this interview in 2022.
