摘要

A wireless sensor network (WSN) is all about optimizing endurance of sensor nodes so that networks lifetime prolongs. Factor influencing networks lifetime includes clustering via centralized nature, distributiveness, sleep awakens. This paper presents concept of formerly proposed MESA2DA (Mutual Exclusive Sleep Awake Distributed Data Aggregation) and BPSA (Back Propagation Sleep Awake) protocols. Both these protocols come under clustering protocols via sleep awake factor. This factor helps in prolonging networks endurance or optimizing sensor node endurance. After that, a comparison of both these protocols was shown. Parameters for comparison includes alive sensor nodes in a network vs round taken at different transmission range. Transmission range taken for comparison were 20, 40, and 60. And, other parameters includes dead sensor nodes in a network vs round taken at above mentioned transmission ranges. For simulation purpose, NS2 simulator was taken into consideration. This comparison shows our proposed protocols works better even at last round at different transmission ranges.
