Innovative Transformer-Based Wireless Power Transfer System for Low Power E-Bicycle
摘要
Wireless power transfer is a diverse research area that has started to be implemented in e-bicycle charging applications today. There are a few issues related to the traditional wired charging method such as the risk of electrical hazard and the burdensome maintenance costs. Hence, this study aims to develop a transformer-based wireless power transfer system for e-bicycle wireless charging. The wireless power transfer system operates on the principle of magnetic resonant coupling, ensuring efficient and safe energy transmission. To optimize system performance, an impedance matching approach is introduced, integrating step-up and step-down transformers into the system design. At the end of this study, a prototype has been successfully constructed, exhibiting a 45% transfer efficiency over a separation distance of 10 cm. This achievement signifies a substantial step toward realizing an efficient and sustainable e-bicycle charging facility.
