摘要

Golf is a popular sport played by millions all around the world regardless of age and background. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, the number of golf players has been rising steadily with both new and returning players. Therefore, this study will focus on the design and development of an automated scoring system for golf sports. The automated scoring system uses sensors for the detection of golf swing and golf ball hole entry. The data collected are then sent to a web application for score calculations before displaying the scores to the user. A sensor is attached to the golf club while two other sensors are placed in the golf hole to detect golf ball hole entry. All the sensors work together to measure the number of golf swings and indicate ball hole entry for different holes. A microcontroller is then used to send the collected data to a hosted web server using Wi-Fi, where the web application calculates and displays scores for the player. Golf players can focus on mastering their golf swing techniques while the system helps them record and calculate their scores.
