Perspectives on Shock Chemistry

This chapter gives perspectives in the future shock chemistry. Shock compression provides only the path along the Hugoniot where temperature increases with increasing pressure. Ramp compression alternatively focuses on solid chemistry at relatively low temperatures where material behaves as solid.
