Leisure Space and Olympic Venue: Combining Practices at Vaires-sur-Marne Water-sports Stadium
摘要
The creation of new sports facilities designed to host top-level international competitions is often costly in terms of investment and running costs, for very little use. To develop a sustainable economic model, several facilities are set up in leisure areas to create synergies between very different users. Following the opening of the kayak whitewater river which will be used for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the study aims to investigate the appropriation of this new sports facility by users of the leisure area, and verify whether this facility increases attractiveness and develops a commercial leisure activity.
