Study of a Technology Enhanced Learning Platform for Continuous Assessment and Evaluation

Teaching learning process has gradually changed with the advent of technology. It not only facilitates the learners in terms of the contents, but also has proved to be time-saving in the fast paced world. Our present study has been done with some important objectives; viz. to investigate how online assessment can be done effectively, to identify the differences between such assessments with that of the routine practice, to find out how it has helped in effective learning and to inspect students’ responses and preference to this mode. The study is mainly based on the analysis of recorded data in one popular Technology enhanced learning platform called MyPerfectice, which is an online platform where students can take tests created by teachers. This platform provides significant insight into the preparation and performance by students. Interesting results have been found during our study and analysis. Students can check their strengths and weaknesses of any subject by accessing variety of practice tests and compare themselves at any time. The charts and graphs on this platform help us in understanding the data in a very comprehensive way. It has also been found that such assessments and evaluation are more quickly done as compared with the traditional ones.
