STEM Education for Students with Low-Income Families

摘要

Since there are millions of STEM jobs opening in emerging nations, STEM education can aid disadvantaged children in rural areas and eliminate poverty in our country. However, STEM education remains exceedingly expensive, making it inaccessible to students from lower middle-class families. Even though many schools are aware of STEM, they are primarily urban, English-medium schools. Most small-town, rural, and traditional schools are unaware of its correct charter; nevertheless, this format of education needs greater funding because practical hands-on learning is more important than theoretical learning. With technology progression, we can significantly lower the cost of STEM education by utilizing it properly. For instance, we can design/build our own electronic circuits and prototypes and begin programming to bootstrap. Young students should construct electronic model prototypes rather than purchasing expensive ones. In this article, we have demonstrated low-cost mechanisms and approaches for cascading STEM in a methodical fashion at the community level, which can aid India in eradicating poverty and producing more youthful talent. This paper also discusses the best training plan for STEM education, after taking into account the age and grade level of the students. We will try to draw attention to related studies that are being conducted in other developing nations in the same subject. According to Swami Vivekananda, “Education is the manifestation of the perfection already present in man,” and with the right planning and governance, STEM may reach the base of our society.
