Intention to Use Web Applications: The UTAUT2 Model and the Contribution of Perceived Value

The history of mobile apps is intertwined with the history of the smartphone itself. The use of mobile applications has been moving the world and significantly changing consumer behavior in recent decades. In turn, the increasing use of smartphones has intensified new ways of buying and using these devices. The UTAUT2 model has been massively studied in this context, for this reason, this study sought to determine the relevant factors future intention to use the application. Thus, this study analyzed a specific application, through the response of 231 Brazilian individuals and considered that the intention to use has as a determinant the value perceived by users of the application and the dimensions of the UTAUT2 model, specifically performance expectancy, the perceived used-interface, the social influence, and the facilitating conditions. Therefore, we present in this paper the contributions to the theory and to the organizations.
