A Lossless Color Image Encryption Technique for IoT Applications: A Cellular Automata-Based Approach

In this research paper, we present a Lossless Color Image Encryption Technique (LCIET) specifically designed for Internet of Things (IoT) applications, employing a Cellular Automata (CA)-based approach. The LCIET algorithm utilizes CA’s chaotic behavior to introduce unpredictability and non-linearity, distributing pixel values across multiple dimensions, ensuring robust encryption while preserving image integrity. The technique allows efficient parallelization, suitable for resource-constrained IoT devices. Security evaluations confirm its resistance against common attacks, ensuring a lossless decryption process and preserving image quality. With scalability and adaptability, LCIET shows promise for securing multimedia data in the IoT landscape.
