摘要

In the current educational system, students’ frequent attendance in class is crucial to assessing student quality and performance. The traditional procedures used in many institutions include calling names or signing in on paper, both of which are time-consuming and unreliable. The issues in the attendance management system have significantly increased due to the growth in student enrolment over the past 20 years. Again, when the attendance form is handed out to the pupils, some sign it more than once, and proxy attendance is recorded. These two systems take a lot of time to use. This article serves as a prototype for a smart attendance system to address these inconveniences. The automatic attendance management system is discussed in this article for convenience or data accuracy. The software for managing the student’s attendance using face recognition technology is designed by integrating widely used components. The project’s goal is to develop an attendance management system that all faculties can utilise for their individual courses. To take attendance, the teacher will first take a picture of the class, either in a regular or panoramic format. The database is kept up by the administrator. At the end of each day, the system uploads the attendance data, and the faculty can then create a list of defaulters.
