Experimental Investigation of a Rapid Rate Cyclone Type Transesterification Reactor
摘要
Rotating the present investigation has been carried out to evaluate the performance of cyclone type transesterification (CTT) and batch type transesterification (BTT) reactors and its comparison. In this technique, biofuel separates fast from straight vegetable oils (SVO’s) due to the swirl of the reactants in the cyclone-type biofuel conversion reactor as the whole amount of reactants (Methoxide and SVO) is stirred by creating a vortex in the reactor, reaction time and production cost decrease. The CTT reactor of biodiesel production capacity of 300 L is developed that has higher potential to convert SVOs in biodiesel compared to the conventional system. It is more efficient than existing BTT biofuel production systems. Overall biodiesel yield in CTT is obtained 50% higher than the BBT reactor, while the reaction time in CTT reactor is reduced by 15.34%. Hence, compared to the BTT, the rapid transesterification reaction capabilities, production capacity, and efficiency of the CTT are enhanced.
