Analysis of Carbon Emissions from Urban Residential Energy Use in Jiangsu Province (2012–2021)

In order to accurately and quickly measure the carbon emissions of residential domestic energy use, this paper takes Jiangsu province as an example, and uses the carbon emission factor method to calculate the carbon emissions of urban residential domestic energy use in Jiangsu province based on energy consumption data, and then uses stata software to build an electricity-carbon analysis model through a linear regression fitting algorithm and verifies it. The results of the study show that the electricity-carbon model was constructed based on the urban residential energy consumption data of Jiangsu Province from 2012 to 2021. In addition, the model shows that electricity consumption is highly correlated with total carbon emissions, which can account for 99.8% of the changes in total carbon emissions. The model is validated at provincial and regional scales, and both show good accuracy, indicating that the model can better reflect the carbon emissions of urban residents, but there are differences in the accuracy of the model at different scales.
