A Study on Low Carbon Supply Chain Emission Reduction Decision Considering Corporate Social Responsibility

Since corporate social responsibility has a significant impact on the sustainable development of supply chains, it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on supply chain management that considers corporate social responsibility. This paper constructs a three-stage Stackelberg game model that includes the government under the carbon trading system in order to explore the impact of government subsidies and social responsibility on carbon reduction decisions made by manufacturers. Both optimal equilibrium strategies with and without subsidies are presented, and a comparative analysis is conducted. According to research, government subsidies can increase manufacturers’ carbon reduction levels while decreasing the compliance levels of logistics companies by 20%. Improving the level of social responsibility implementation among logistics companies can increase the optimal subsidy factor of the government and encourage the reduction of carbon emissions among manufacturers. However, the excessive level of corporate social responsibility hinders the effectiveness of government subsidies to increase the utility of logistics companies.
