A Review of Public Service in Smart Community from the Perspective of Smart City

Public service is the critical component of smart community in smart city. Smart city and smart community have been attempted in various countries and regionals, and have made some progress. However, the contents of smart community have not been completed yet, and currently elderly care service accounts for most since the aging society is approaching, while education and training service has been tried. Therefore, the goal of this paper is to fill the gap of smart community, and try to complete the holistic functions in public service. This paper goes through a systematic literature review from smart city, smart community to public service, and then the conceptual framework of public service is proposed with concrete contents of each component, in which elderly care service, convenience service and community management are emphasized. The conclusion is reached with potential insight in public service, and findings and drawbacks are explained.
