The Assessment of the Maneuverability and the Navigability of 120TEU Sea-River Intermodal Container
摘要
In our work, we establish a simulation model of ship maneuverability in still water condition. This model is built on the basis of the MMG mathematical model and combined with the characteristics of the ship type of the Ocean-river intermodal container ship, this model is applied to numerically simulate the maneuverability of a 120TEU sea-river intermodal container ship under fully loaded conditions, and carried out ship model rotation tests and Z-shape steering tests to verify the numerical prediction results. A calculation model of the ship's trajectory bandwidth was established, and the navigability of the 120TEU sea-river intermodal container ship on the “Hang-Ping-Shen Line” was evaluated based on the ship maneuverability obtained from the simulation forecast. The evaluation result shows that the 120TEU sea-river intermodal container ships can pass through the bend with a curvature radius of 280 m in the “Hang-Ping-Shen Line” in a single line of a rudder angle of 10°–15°; while the 120TEU sea-river intermodal container ships must pass through a double line with a curvature radius of 280 m for bends, the bottom width of the channel must not be less than 66 m.
