Models for the Indian Judicial System: A Study on Its Applicability and Challenges

The most specific way of understanding any process includes its dynamic flow of activities and developing specific models that help decision-makers make strategic decisions. Given the practical constraints and considering changes to the system in real time, it is more demanding to use simulation models. These simulation models have many applications to make the system efficient and desirable for interpreting the results. Such models help create and address the challenges a judicial system faces in the form of delays in court operations, from filing different cases at their disposal. However, the models are complex to develop using various open-source or licensed software. Still, they can find an attempt to optimize with the necessary information through a detailed examination of the process. The current paper’s originality addresses how these models can be a better alternative for process optimization for such complex systems in the Indian judiciary regarding procedural ambiguity and complexity. It also emphasizes the various challenges for information gathering and the necessity of streamlining the operations by building these models.
